I think Morrison came as close to anyone to justifying the code against killing in an issue of JLA Classified when he had Superman say, basically, death isn’t final enough in our world.
I think I speak for all the history and classics majors out there when I say that this is some bullshit.
What an absolutely great evening at Diesel with @robinnelee.bsky.social talking about her new novel CRASH INTO ME with @ynb.bsky.social. The courtyard was packed and the signing line extended halfway to the parking lot. Robinne is a superstar.
Coyotes in the neighborhood today. (Photos not mine; from the group chat)
No reporter should ever allow any GOP spokesperson to say things like this without immediately bringing up the two dozen (by my last count) women who have accused Trump of sexual assault.
Susan Collins cannot bring herself to condemn anything, apparently.
“Anyone who rises in a world that worships success should be suspect, for this is an age of psychopathy.” — James Hillman
I think the better question is why NOT have Adam Sandler officiate the wedding?
Was just sitting on the patio when this rabbit ran right under my feet and onto the lawn.
Puppy yoga today. Absolutely recommend. Brilliant Father’s Day present.
Things might be a wee bit grim out there when your cereal has to talk you up like this in the morning.
Part of the Father’s Day haul. I haven’t read most of these stories since they came out and I was reminded again how good Moore is at finding new ways to tell stories. He’s endlessly inventive in a format that’s been around since the 1930s. And he makes it look effortless.
Dave & Buster’s now has, I kid you not, games where you pump gas and fill slushie cups.
Cockburn points out that Greenspan was always willing to let people suffer in the name of his economic principles, and he sat passively while the greatest financial collapse since the Depression happened on his watch.
I don’t really have anything to say about the passing of Alan Greenspan, but Alexander Cockburn had plenty to say about his life when they were both extant. www.thenation.com/article/arch...
Sure drugs are great but have you ever scrolled through eBay’s collectibles section just to get a hit of nostalgia when you see wall art that had been buried in your subconscious until that moment?
I remember this staring at me from the walls of at least two of my friends’ homes when I was a kid.
Mad Ghost “lives” in my hometown, which would have absolutely blown 9-year-old me’s mind.
There are a couple dozen variations of this T-shirt on Amazon. I don’t see this line of argument going well for the prosecution.
