Working on the next video in the C64 BASIC dungeon series, they attack now? They attack now
Slight CP/M emulator improvement, can now upload and download files (only stored in RAM not on actual disk)
How is this style? If they are ok I will pixel them as 64x64 and do some more. No worries if not what you were hoping for, it was relaxing drawing them :)
🥳 woot, it’s only a bloomin @tynemouthsoftware.co.uk z80 gadget!!1 (Minstrel 4)
I’d complain about uk rail service but this little girl has it worse and she’s not grumbled once 🥵
If you are into retro computers and consoles it would be a huge boost to my fragile ego if you could check out my YouTube channel and subscribe if you like it?
The famous CYD aka Cheap Yellow Display. ESP32 plus capacitive touch screen, SD card reader, USB-C, and more
Why would YouTube with all their computing power recommend a video about C64 BASIC to ... these ... "Guitar Lessons" searches?
No credit to the developer, just the elite hackers who broke the … unprotected c code
Check out my most disliked video of recent times 🫣 Retro Code in Your Browser: Free IDE for Dozens of Machines ZX Spectrum, C64, Amiga and More youtu.be/-f7cy4VnPVQ
Shhh this might get me into trouble but I needed to test on the live server 🤫
ZX Spectrum Next WASM progress 🙂 Will need to research legalities further before putting this on a live server. Also SD card dependency is a pain because that is a lot of data to lazy-load. BUT I didn't expect to get THIS far so woot! 🥳
Procedurally generated mazes in C64 BASIC without waiting a minute for the map to build? Yes! * * (with cheating ;) )
This is very promising, #zxnext emulator written in Go, compiled as WASM, running in classic speccy mode in my browser :)
New toy in the house, @xtool-official.bsky.social M2 inkjet (cmyk) and laser!
Spent our 28th wedding anniversary in the Lake District where it was less hot than at home plus the pooch enjoyed a paddle. Reminds me of Kelowna vacations but much shorter drive 🌤️❤️
Adding "fog of war" to my retro roguelike dungeon crawler It fits almost everywhere apart from BBC Micro (!?) - very strange, I think I might have to get my calculator out on that one ...
Turns out I had been using the wrong colour hex values for the Amstrad and had been blaming my compilation workflow. Still not the best colour choices but at least these are ones I *chose* badly ;)
Procedural generation working on ZX Spectrum, seems just managed to squeeze the binary in theory into 48kb system. Problem is, this is the bare-bones, no wiggle room.
Wow my website is in high demand! ;) (Same email, new 'company' and email address)
The joys of building a cross-platform IDE. ZX Spectrum C compilation worked perfectly for small programs but > 16KB started breaking down in execution (memory leaks probably). Getting close though, just not fixed today's lunch 'break' ...
This doesn't affect my feelings towards the C64U but does mean I am *not at all* interested in whatever comes next which is a good thing for my bank balance so I guess win?
