Finished this last night. It’s pretty dark and bleak, but it sticks in your bones in a great way. Some really vivid and wonderful use of language throughout. (If I had to describe it, it’s The Terror crossed with a whiff of Jeff VanderMeer’s Southern Reach books).

A bit of exciting personal news. The movie I’ve been working on (as a producer and editor) has been picked up for distribution! “A father and his newly-engaged son may not survive a camping trip when their Jeep crashes, trapping the son underneath.” Looking forward to sharing more details soon.

According to Wikipedia, by removing that section, that version of the movie remains in public domain.

Abridged version
As of 2025, Amazon Prime Video features an abridged version of the film with 12 minutes removed. The entire scene of George in the alternate Pottersville is excised and as a result, drastically changes the ending of the film. This abridged version is the result of removing the scene based on "The Greatest Gift" by Philip Van Doren Stern, which has a different copyright than the film itself, allowing the film to be a rights-free version for full access to the public domain.
