Film you’ve watched more than six times with a gif. Hard mode: no Star Trek, Star Wars, Marvel, Disney, or Ghibli.
Everyone: “ohhhhh the mcu is trash, it’s time to table it for awhile.” Also everyone: “let’s eagerly chat about all the new titles announced for production!” Y’all not serious, these are diametrically opposite positions. 🤣
Finished this last night. It’s pretty dark and bleak, but it sticks in your bones in a great way. Some really vivid and wonderful use of language throughout. (If I had to describe it, it’s The Terror crossed with a whiff of Jeff VanderMeer’s Southern Reach books).
A bit of exciting personal news. The movie I’ve been working on (as a producer and editor) has been picked up for distribution! “A father and his newly-engaged son may not survive a camping trip when their Jeep crashes, trapping the son underneath.” Looking forward to sharing more details soon.
This bit from @lukesmithf1.bsky.social about the Wheatley/Newey/Aston situation is bonkers.
I can’t help re: Roku because I use a different box, but here are a few screenshots off my AppleTV app. Left: searching for “Australian”, middle shows once you’ve selected “Australian Grand Prix”, right shows the main page with replay options.
The one bummer of the F1 season so far is we’re not getting some amazing driver quotes on the air. Lean into the fun, Liberty Media!
Goddamn. (There are even more facepalm-y bits. Spinotti, you utter fool.)
If you’re in the US, F1 TV is definitely included. From Apple’s press release last fall…
Spent too much time making this just to text to some friends, so I’ll share it with y’all.
We were so frustrated we *had* to do something, even if it was just three of us in the rain. We made our voices heard and got some good responses from cars going by. ✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻
According to Wikipedia, by removing that section, that version of the movie remains in public domain.
I done what I shoulda did 10 minutes ago, to paraphrase Tiny Lister.
