It’s time to return to the Whale’s Vagina. Who’s Comic-Conning this year?
So, I was on a cruise ship with two of my golf buddies, I think we were going on some kind of a trip. Then I bumped into Scott Aukerman, and we started riffing so well that he invited me on Comedy Bang Bang, but then we all met Sofia Vergara at the buffet restaurant and he asked her on instead…
Wow. Can’t believe Grace Dent and Anna Haugh are the Masterchef finalists, given that they host the damn show. Feels like a pretty disgraceful abuse of power. Surely the BBC should investigate this?!?!?!?!!??!?
That very same week I introduced a live pod, and did the entire first half, dressed like this. Thirty quid, that costume cost me.
Solid line-up of Columbo episodes on 5Select today, as the good lieutenant takes down Perry White, Kirk AND Khan, not to mention not one but two Draculas (after a fashion). The Shatner episode (also featuring Walter Koenig!!!) is my favourite of this little lot. #YourSundayColumbo #JustOneMoreThing
What a bounty for Columbo fans today on 5Select. Jack Cassidy as a murderous Nazi magician; Donald Pleasance striking up an unlikely friendship with the good lieutenant; Jackie Cooper as a plotting politician (one of the great gotchas); a rare cracking latter Columbo; and Johnny motherfucking Cash!
Here is a podcast, available wherever you cast your pods. Ain’t that enough?
Found my battered, tattered, slightly stained copy of How To Be A Superhero, one of the funniest books I’ve ever read. Anyone else read it?
For those of you wondering why Episode 700 of the Empire Podcast hasn’t yet dropped, I was sick in bed all day yesterday (and some of today), so have only just finished editing it. Final checks to go, it’ll be up by the morning. Sorry for the delay. It’s worth the wait. Honest.
Timings for tomorrow night’s live show. There’s may still be some returns available online or on the door. This one is going to be truly special. Come along!
This is the most recent note I made on my phone. I have no recollection of writing this, nor do I know what prompted it.
Terrible casting. This gentleman is clearly far too old. He’s got to be at least 28, maybe even 29.
In case you missed it, our guests for the live show on Saturday are the wonderful Tim Key and Tom Basden, stars/writers of my favourite film of the year, THE BALLAD OF WALLIS ISLAND. So, if you’re coming on Saturday and you haven’t seen it, now’s your chance to rectify that.
Evidence of my best shot today at Bexleyheath. Naturally, I missed this birdie putt.
Here is a thingy. Ain’t that enough? Available now, wherever you cast your pods.
