Don’t start that talking I could talk all night…
Looking forward to spending a little quality time with Little Feat this particular hot August night! Feats Don’t Fail Me Now!!
Heidi and I are celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary today! We’ve been a couple (of weirdos) for close to 34 years. Millions of laughs. Hundreds of concerts. Zero arguments! Okay, maybe a few. Very thankful for our family and friends. And, to anyone who happens to read this.❤️
Hello, Sherry! This gizmo is part of the indoor sprinkler system that is mandatory for all new buildings in LA County. Can’t do the insulation until Pasadena Fire inspects this system on Aug. 17(!!). The roofing crew is working today… We’re happy with the progress so far. Have a nice day, Sherry!
Named this one “Althea”. Not really. About two feet tall. Super dazzling up close.
From two years ago. This one was cut. Somewhere I have a better shot. of one blooming in ground. There’s a lot of people that don’t know artichokes do this!
Heading towards the longest day of the year. With the best music ever.
At our (soon to be) house. The electricians have put up a warning sign that really put a smile on our stupid faces. Had to share.
Good Morning to you, friend. We’re doing alright. The plumbing and electrical are being installed. The rebuild is truckin’ along. Couldn’t happen fast enough for us! We’re learning a lesson in patience. Patience is a virtue I’m not too familiar with. How are you??
Electrical and plumbing are being worked on… We’re happy with the progress. We obtained our construction permit it early January… Things can’t move fast enough for our liking. Thanks for asking, Sherry! Have a great day!!
Saw this on a car yesterday morning outside of the original Trader Joes. Had a great conversation with the owner about our respective rebuilding efforts. We’re not “Bumper Sticker” people per se. Well, not yet.
Happy 64th Anniversary to my awesome parents John & Karen. They got hitched on 6-2 ‘62. This shot is from The Rolling Stones concert at the Rose Bowl a few years back. They bought the tickets. As previously mentioned. They’re awesome.
Bill Graham and the Grateful Dead gathering the beautiful people for a good cause. Just turned 23. Trucked in solo from Santa Cruz. Flying High down on the floor by the right side speaker stacks. Los Lobos. John Fogerty and friends… Tracy Chapman solo, crushing it. Good times? Effing great times.
Who is the fearsome foursome of May 21st birthdays? The Notorious B.I.G. Albrecht Dürer Mr. T. And Me!! Sixty Trips Around The Sun. Good for another Sixty. Give or take a year or two…
Mebs, this entire album is a damn delight. Next lazy sunshiney day off. Give it a go. Also it has a reworking of a song that Sinatra made famous. “South of Border (Down Mexico Way)”.
Fifty years ago. As a nine year old kid playing Little League baseball, this movie was just about perfect. The cussing! The drinking! Tatum O’Neal! Life really was perfect.
My dear Mother clipped this from the L.A. Times for us. We were unable to attend this Tweedy Family function ‘cause we were swimming with dolphins up where they launch rockets. (We saw a rocket being launched) Not sure how my Mom knew how much we love Wilco. Can’t keep from talking? Probably.
Thank you! Here’s a beautiful evening from last week on the coast above Santa Barbara…
Maybe this is a better take on the situation. Happy St. Patrick’s Day. We’re running behind. Just a little.
We went swimming on Saint Patrick’s Day. It’s warm and wonderful here at Jalama Beach. And now it’s Spring.
Indeed. I’ve taken to growing Ghost & Carolina Reapers. These are from a few years ago.
Working steadily through this bag. Saw it on the “New Arrivals” rack and couldn’t resist.
Heidi and I went to the Norton Simon Museum yesterday. Where did I find my favorite painting of a tree? Right where I left it.
Stone cold classic. We met Les at a book signing at Book Soup a few years back. Great guy. Lots of cool stories.
That’s the truth. Listening to this before I saw your post this morning…
We went to Crystal Lake today. It’s a long drive to a little lake. Our goal was to escape the Fortress Of Mediocre. We met our goal. Took this shot and flipped it upside down so that the reflection is on top. Why? Why not.
