🇩🇪🇬🇧🇪🇺, love nature, wildlife, outdoor swimming, gardening, art, community & cats! Working with books, some of them quite old… Science background. Alarmed at what this world is turning into
😂😂😂that’s a rescue for you. My one-eyed rescue cat Madam will challenge the meanest tom, but the sound of a plastic bag rustling…That’s it
As I approached the local Lido this morning for an early swim, I was greeted by a rather unexpected sight. Someone clearly had a hard night! 🧸😂 #Greenwich #parks #London
I had a kitty like that once. 13 years on the streets. He was hungry for love but would bite suddenly without warning. And yet he was glued to my heels at all times. I had him for a year when he began to chill, but his health was too shot by then. I absolutely adored that boy. Still miss him…
Can never start planning for Christmas presents early enough🤔. My 'Rumtopf' from eBay has arrived! Now I only need a decent crop of berries… and of course rum. Can’t wait to start it off.
Yep, they walk amongst us. I have been wearing my NASA badge for the last year. Scientific illiteracy can also be found amongst the so-called educated…
Time on my hand waiting for the bus…and if I remember correctly those blackberries were amazing last year…
Wild geraniums are so underrated. I think they are gorgeous… #wildflowers #nature
What a lovely Easter Day. The woods are full of birdsong and insects flitting abouts. Apart from watching a nuthatch darting up an oak, there were Bee Flies, and butterflies such as Comma, Peacock, Brimstones and Orange Tip…#Oxleas #woodlands #wildlife #nature
On the Capital Ring Walk, London yesterday. Near Highgate…Following the old railway track. Great Spring walk
Just remembered a dandelion picture I took on Sunday. Was actually out birding… but I just loved it’s optimism #dandelion #nature
It is marvellous when they finally decide to trust. Took Lucky 2 two years. Woke up one morning and he had come through. Here’s a picture of him ascending the cat ladder for the first time. (2 years)He kept pausing and looking at me through the window to make sure I noticed! #caturday
Love my violets in the garden. Give them a taste of sunshine and they are off…
Those iris look beautiful! I had my garden edgings redone with coppiced hornbeam over the winter and refreshed my perennials whilst at it. Can’t wait for them to come into their own. Like on the picture from last summer…
He is absolutely gorgeous! Lovely composition. Lovely cat! It reminded me of my beloved Mr Bear who is no longer with me. So grumpy looking but had a pad in all my neighbours homes. (And that picture was taken at a neighbour’s)
Can’t wait for Spring to arrive! The landscapers did a great job replacing my decrepit border edgings with coppiced hornbeam from Kent. Didn’t loose the curves. And great for wildlife to hide in…
Madam querying the need to shift the cat baskets for the new sideboard to fit in?!
