And this one is “The Leftover Shanty” Busted out the melodica for this one!
Some heavy Black Flag influence on my lunch songs this week This one is called “Lunch (Way Hey)”
Learned some French in today! Here goes: Hon hon hon!* *Arrived in Paris at 7 AM local time, and couldn’t check into my hotel room until 3 PM, 17 minutes ago. They’re still cleaning it, but they gave me a free beer to make up for it. I have been awake for 27 hours.
Happy new Olivia Rodrigo day to all who celebrate I kind of feel like I’m obligated to play this song at my wedding. Because Alyssa’s taking my last name, so she’s literally going to be a Harte forever
Hang on I have the perfect image for this, just discovered it in my work Slack this week
I know there’s a lot going on today, but also I interviewed Elijah Wood??? And he said he’s been playing @blueprincegame.bsky.social??? Also, @owendennis.com wants to make the Star Fox movie, which would be awesome. www.tiktok.com/t/ZTByxMwhh/
This album also excludes some tracks, mainly original songs, truly indecipherable inside jokes (which is saying something, based on the stuff that made the cut) and ones I just decided I was too embarrassed to share publicly. Also this, my first audio song, which barely counts as a cover lmao:
I was TRYING to get a cute picture of Kit grooming Lando, but this is maybe a more accurate representation of their dynamic.
You basically quoted my review verbatim haha, I’d say exactly that! The reason it works is that the characters are so strongly written and singular. Their motivations make the story feel universal. It also devolves into music video whimsy so often that I didn’t feel too trapped in the era.
I met Lego Batman!!! I leaned down so he could whisper advice in my ear and he didn’t say anything, which is honestly soooo Batman of him. (If you know literally anything about me, you know this was a huge deal. Preview coverage coming soon.)
I’ll be doing a panel at the Super Cincy Expo this year! If you’re near Cincinnati, swing by the Sharonville Convention Center on May 16 to hear me (and the guys at Co-Op 64) talk about our jobs! I’m very excited! I love video games and also Cincinnati!!!
Hahaha omg me and my friends were making such funny jokes today, you really had to be there
It’s been like a week but I’m still proud of this dumb bar (about a game I have not played)
At one point in this episode, Alex said he didn’t love Super Meat Boy 3D’s music. Somehow, we decided it would be funny if it had a British rap soundtrack instead, and then I was possessed by the spirit of The Bit™ and wrote this
I wrote it before it was approved (my choice) but it got cut for being too specific of a reference. Which is fair! But I still think it’s a good bit. I also don’t love making fun of people, but was totally fine roasting Snoop Dogg because it’s all in reference to him being homophobic. Loophole!
1. Toaster is mad Kit won’t throw his orange ball. He often tries to play fetch with her - never works. 2. Lando licks his nose 3. Toaster enjoys the sun 4. Kit is absolutely lounging about
Happy birthday to the album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, Princess Carolyn (among others) actress Amy Sedaris, and LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game! Each are partially the reason I am the way I am, so it’s fitting that it is also my birthday.
Alyssa’s wedding gift to her coworker was this pair of stained glass portraits of her coworker’s dogs! She’s very good at this!!!
Alyssa’s ADHD is occasionally extremely convenient because she decides to learn a craft just to make one customized nerdy thing to give me. She made this punch-needled pillow in secret for my birthday four years ago. It took her weeks. She hadn’t punch-needled before and she hasn’t since. She rules.
My fiancée Alyssa made this heart container out of stained glass! It’s her FIRST TIME doing stained glass and I admittedly don’t know anything about the art form, but 1) this feels like an elaborate starting point and 2) It came out great! I’m excited to take some pictures in the sunlight tomorrow
