I like to stand on my porch late at night in the dark. I stand very still & watch for what moves. Dark shapes navigating the terrain to eat & hunt. All is right in the world in that brief moment. The world may ravage & rage elsewhere, but here is peace floating on a cool breeze.

I bought a book of absolute cooking SMUT that I found on sale ($2.99) & I wish my friend Pete were still alive, so I could talk him into buying it too & we could cook ridiculously laborious, good-tasting foods until the wee hours. Next month, it'll be a yr since he passed. I'm still raging about it.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Q: Do you need a marijuana card in order to purchase?
A: No. I don't have a card & I've been purchasing for a couple of years. You do have to click to say you're over 21.

Q: They're expensive. How is this affordable?
A: I only take it for sleep 90% of the time. It makes me sleepy with 1/4 to 1/6 of a gummy, depending on which strength I take. I cut my current strength into 1/6 size pieces. If I occasionally want to fly a little, then I'll additionally eat half of another 6th. I'm fairy-size woman, tho. Ymmv. But for me, a jar of 30 gummies at my current strength lasts me 180 nights, if I only take 1/6 every night. So I typically order gummies 2x per year. I like to have a cushion of some extra, so I like to have at least 1/2 a jar more than I need since I do share them with family when they ask.

Q: I tried gummies once & it didn't seem to do anything. Were they no good?
A: This would happen with me sometimes when I first started using gummies. Timing some food with or within a few mins of your gummy can really help it along, especially something sweet. Take your gummy, then follow it up with either a meal or a sweet snack. It can be as small as a piece of peanut butter toast or a small bowl of sweet cereal.

The foggy view out my kitchen window this afternoon.

Most young'uns won't know who I'm talking about, but whenever life pushes up against me a little & I get stressed or thinking about my mortality, I can hear the late comedian, Bill Hicks, whisper in my ear, "It's just a ride." And that comforts me to a depth I can't explain.

The World is like a ride in an amusement park, and when you choose to go on it you think it's real, because that's how powerful our minds are. And the ride goes up and down and round and round, and it has thrills and chills and is very brightly colored, and it's very loud. And it's fun, for a while.

Some people have been on the ride for a long time, and they've begun to question, 'Is this real, or is this just a ride?', and other people have remembered, and they've come back to us and they say 'Hey, don't worry. Don't be afraid, ever, because this is just a ride.' and we KILL THOSE PEOPLE.

"Shut him up! We have a lot invested in this ride! SHUT HIM UP! Look at my furrows of worry. Look at my big bank account, and my family. This just has to be real."

You can barely see the there's a house behind the back power pole.

White or super pale gray fog envelopes a rural neighborhood. Power poles stand in stark resistance to the gloom. The trees in the distance are but vague shapes, mere suggestions of trees. It's a nice feeling to be in your home, warm & held separate from the hovering mists outside the door.

From the high desert of the Columbia Plateau in OR. We're 24F with an expected high of 27. This isn't snow, but hoary frost. We've been locked in freezing fog for about 2 weeks. Even when the fog temporarily rolls out, the temp isn't high enough for melt off. Been bracing for possible outages.
