I’m afraid I’m useless in either case, haven’t gardened in years. And I own one of these! 👇 I have dreamed of turning half the front grass into flowers/shrubs, but it’s a 100% hot spot and yard is not rabbit-proof. I’ve been thinking of downsizing mostly. ☹️

Daughter has wildfires N&S of a wide area, that don’t affect her, but bad ones put the air quality near or at top. Here in PA, we’ve experienced bad quality from fires in Canada (!). We had above 100 [unhealthy], and 210 (June 2025). Crazily, Europe has a different scale. 10 being “Horrible” is WOW.
