Peak Baba Yaga homesteading- trellised the pole beans with last year's raspberry canes.
Slight mix up in the kitchen and now we have chocolate pineapple upside-down cake for Saturday market.
I hesitate to call myself a farmer because of issues of scale and lack of cows but according to the IRS that's what is technically going on here. The bake sales and herbal products are value add, since we grow the pumpkins for the pies, etc. Look what the chipmunks did to the pole beans!

Transplanted 2 of the zucchini. This year we will have 5 plants at least. I am worried about running out of food.
When people talk about it being impossible to grow enough food to stay alive, we don't talk about the transformation to preserve and store food so you actually eat it later. Just achieving veg is a great first start but it's only part of the job.

Went to Via Aquarium in Schenectady yesterday for Mother's Day. It was awesome.
First thing I have made in months that wasn't an order. Mermaid glass and faux white coral beads on double elastic. Fits 6-7 inch wrist.
We're through the 10 to go mark! Today's a busy day coming, including magnet fishing! Happy Sunday!
I will finish this big order this week. I have learned I can't take on so much at once. But they're coming out well I think. Still needs ribbon and edges on all 35.
