If you are into teen melodrama like I am, and Canadian Content, like I am, then I urge you to watch Sterling Point a new series on Prime created by the director of My Old Ass.m, Megan Park. I got to see the first two episodes months ago and loved it.

Just pressed play on Rocky. I'm in the home stretch of the 50 movies from 1976 I'm watching for the Birth Year Movie Challenge. I saw Joe Spinell's name in the opening credits, and this is now the third movie this week I've watched that he's been in, so I looked up his yearly list. Four movies.

I will always remember the time Tommy Hunter walked into the shop I worked in and I was star struck and nobody I worked with understood what had just happen since they hadn’t even born yet when his show was in the air. He was a tall drink of water even at that age. And so polite.

Did you know that Jodie Foster starred in 5 films in 1976? You can bet I'm watching each one for my Birth Year Challenge! Even the ones I've seen before, which is a lot of them, and even the not great ones and the very weird ones.

I have a lot of problems with the current Ontario majority government, but I continue to be so proud that they changed the rules to recognize Oji-Cree (Anishininiimowin) as an official language which can be used in the chamber. And look, it is even printed in Oji-Cree in the Hansard, for all time.

Sounds like Guelph where it looks like Pic 1 on a map, but in all official maps from the City, the Province, and the Federal Government it is oriented like Pic 2, and our directions are based on Pic 2.

This a reminder that public pressure works. Media asks questions, people hear the news and call and email their MPPs, the Government members share what they are hearing with the Premier, and with enough heat they change course. Sometimes it takes months, sometimes only days.
