Game designer/coder, lecturer at times, full-time meme. In the past: coherence, Unity (making Gigaya, Open Projects, Unity Playground). Also been making games (UFHO2, Slybots: Frantic Zone... ?) and Unity tools. He/him/lui/'iss 🇮🇹
Quite happy with the reception for BlackBox 2 so far. It's currently sitting at position 21 in the Utilities category when ordered by Popularity (out of 3800 assets!). So not too bad. (and I just noticed, it's #7 when ordered by Relevance – how did that even work??)
Such a lovely game. I've been listening to the soundtrack obsessively for 6 years (it's fantastic), but for some arcane reason I convinced myself that the game was not for me. Today I repaired that, and I have to say, it's an absolutely delightful experience. Try Wilmot's Warehouse if you can!
I spotted this in the docs, must be really infuriating for a user to read 🤣 Feels like they're trolling!
Not something I thought I'd ever read in my lifetime, but here we go I guess. Donald Trump really can achieve anything. /irony
For the curious, these are the icons I made, only with a couple of tweaks from the design team. Icon design is not my main craft so I'm quite proud how they turned out. (the TutorialPage icon has a grey background to make it work better due to a UI issue)
You're right, I skipped a bit through the video so I missed that... !!! I checked some frames, and googled the inside handle of the Multipla... so it is an actual one! I'm pretty sure you can drive it in the game then.
I'm very puzzled by this trailer for the game CLUTCH. Every now and then it keeps flashing the logo for the Fiat Multipla?? It's especially puzzling because the Multipla is considered one of the unsexiest cars ever made. The trailer: youtu.be/n_GEq0L-krs?...
I need obliged to mention though that in Scene Notes you can visualise the note's title in the scene, and customise the colours for the text and the background to really make them stand out! (here pictured very subtle, I screenshotted the store page) Just in case you didn't know!
I can't believe it: translation on Twitter, apparently powered by Grok (see icon). In translating from Czech to Italian, Grok... localises the flag emoji?! So much for it being an artificial "intelligence" 🤦🏻♂️
Nintendo just announced the Splaoon Raiders release date with a new trailer, and... it reminded me of Gigaya 🥲
A week ago I made a game with a friend during @nordicgamejam.bsky.social where you solve problems of various nature
As I'm using Unity more and more on a daily basis, I am discovering improvements on features I haven't used in a few years. Today's finding: Presets can have excluded properties, so they can focus on 3-4 properties you really want to set, ensuring others are not overwritten in subsequent reimports 👍🏻
12 years ago today, I launched my first indie game: UFHO2. www.youtube.com/watch?v=YwLM...
The @AssetStore is doing a bundle sale, and both my bundles are 50% off as part of it. - All Editor Tools: bit.ly/editorassets... - Essential Bundle: bit.ly/essentials_as #unity3d #gamedev #tools
I am also finding out about some shockingly good demo scenes. Like, there's one with spherical gravity and the little one just walks over the sphere, no problem, then transitions to a moving cube, no problem, all of it with the camera avoiding occlusion. Good job, Greg 👏🏻
I just found out that the little character in the Cinemachine demos is called Cameron. ... Cameron. Hehe 😏
Starting from SubAssets Toolbox 1.1.0, you can ask the tool to patch existing reference to new sub-assets. This really closes the loop in terms of UX, and avoids tedious and error-prone reference-fixing work for you.
I just published version 1.1.0 of my tool SubAssets Toolbox for #unity3d. This version brings a new feature that really closes the circle when it comes to working with sub-assets! Let me explain 🧵
Made a tiny free Unity utility to have a button on the main toolbar that allows to enter Play Mode with Fast Enter Play Mode options enabled. You can still enter PM with full domain reload by just pressing good ol' Play button. This allows to choose the behaviour every time at the click of a button.
Nice! I've been following the game for a loooong time! It's nice to see how it's evolved, and to know who's behind it! ✨
Quite enjoying Metroid Prime 4. The gameplay is... ok. The flow, the power-ups, the riddles, the fights – it feels like I've already seen it a few times 😐 But the top-notch presentation makes up for it. Absolute fantastic set design, music, particles, all in all atmosphere.
