I couldn't get this meme from the aughts out of my head the other day. It's pretty much perfect for the Rage Yam.
We lost a genius in Louise Lasser. This is our reunion dinner in 2019 and our 3-hour lunch in 2024. Louise is with her long-time partner, Michael, the sweetest man you will ever meet. My husband, Richard, and me, and Greg Mullavey sporting a beard for King Lear. I was so fortunate to work with her.
I think you're right: Rutte doesn't want to taunt the Dynamite Monkey
I ram stunned and grieving: Louise Lasser is no longer with us. Raise a glass to the genius who created Mary Hartman and her waxy yellow build-up. "What kind of a madman would shoot two goats and eight chickens? [pause] And the people... the people, of course."
Why was voice to text better 10 years ago? My phone changes things at random, while I'm posting. Whatever it changes to is absolute nonsense. I wish I knew why they had to fuck up something that was already working well. The pic is of me making horchata and dulce de leche ice cream yesterday.
Me: Where the hell is my tea? I want to warm it up to drink it. It's not in my office, the kitchen or the living room... WHERE can it be??
Remember when Republicans used to lose their shit when you called them a Nazi? Now, they're leaning into it with the attitude "Of COURSE I'm a Nazi - all the right people are.
He's going to start arresting Senators, isn't he? Just like he blamed innocent bystanders gawking at his Reflecting Pool debacle, and had them arrested. It's narcissistic collapse, FFS. The Rage Yam is going to get more and more impulsive and dangerous as he tries to protect his moldering ego.
What the fuck are you on about? Seriously. How did you settle on bothering me today? Go wash the Cheetoh dust off your hands and touch grass. Stop worrying about strangers, and focus on your pathetic need to insert yourself into other peoples lives. Not all men, but definitely always a man.
Oh, look. The miracle of life happening across the street. She's going to rage on my newly planted garden. Dammit. I keep the bird bath full, as I've had a bear drinking out of it, and now this doe will, too. Damn this drought.
This was taken from the top of Tenderfoot Pass. That little town is Cripple Creek. You can see 85 miles west to the Continental Divide, and how brown everything is from having no snow this winter. It's still spring, even though the day before yesterday was 88°F. Did we ever screw the pooch.
This is the very bottom of our largest stock pond, where you can see many different animals have been digging in the dirt to find any kind of moisture. This makes me incredibly sad, and I'm trying to figure out how we can get stock tanks filled up there to try to save some of the wildlife.
This was our largest stock pond. The water should be up to the small pine tree on the right side of the berm. At the very least it should be at the line on the ridge to the left. I have never seen this pond dry. All three of our stock ponds are completely empty. I worry for the animals.
This is Dead Ox Gulch, it used to be a stream and one of the tributaries to the Arkansas River. The water is supposed to flow through Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma and Arkansas, into the Mississippi river, and finally into the Gulf of Mexico. We've had no water run through it this year. None.
Sound up! The western drought is so much worse than people know. This is - or was - our largest stock pond on our ranch west of Pikes Peak. Instead of birds or frogs or crickets or marmots? All you'll hear is the sound of crunching, dead grass. Silent Spring, indeed.
Well done, Murica!! A pound of ground beef costs $1.25 more than an hour of minimum wage.
$2.29 for 1 bell pepper at my local King Sooper (Kroger), and $1.37 an ear for dried out corn that appears to have a fungus in the silk and the leaves. Good times.
Me, too. I clicked the link directly from the bio of the Resistance Summer School account.
Jackpot!!! I opened the windows fir the first time this spring, and found that a squirrel left a peanut in my window well. Well it's mine now, buddy!!!
