I was also right about this, and Colbert stopped inserting himself into the musical performances soon after. I assume they noticed the same thing I did, but I always wonder if someone saw this tweet.

A tweet from me from Sept. 12, 2025: "Also, @StephenAtHome joining musical guests was funny on Report as an ego-driven move by the character. W/o character just seems intrusive." Colbert had taken a verse of "Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard" from Paul Simon in the show I had just watched.

I was right about the Biden interview:

It's been a minute since I've posted a completed 2-page (18-card) team (in part b/c I won't pay $30 for a 1966 Ron Perranoski, so my 1965 WS Champ Dodgers will remain 1 card short). Here, however, is my just-completed World Champ 1959 Dodgers (I cheaped out a bit here, too; the Koufax is a reprint):

Two album pages containing the following 18 cards (all but the first are landscape-oriented): 1960 Topps Walt Alston, Jim Gilliam, Charlie Neal, Wally Moon, Duke Snider, Norm Larker, Gil Hodges, and John Roseboro, 1961 Post Cereal Maury Wills, 1960 Topps Don Drysdale and Johnny Podres, a reprint* of the 1960 Topps Sandy Koufax, 1960 Topps Roger Craig, Danny McDevitt, Larry Sherry, Stan Williams, Don Demeter, and Chuck Essegian. Hodges, Roseboro, Drysdale, Podres, and Koufax are not wearing caps in their primary card photos, which annoys me. My apologies to Carl Furillo, Don Zimmer, Ron Fairly, and Clem Labine.

*I have Koufax's 1961, 1964, and 1966 cards. I just couldn't make my self go past my usual spending limit to get an original of this capless card, which I've never much liked.

I like that PTC card (and forgot I also have the Kreindler card and a ‘53 Bowman reprint). Here’s my ‘54 Bowman:

Larry Doby’s 1954 Bowman card. The picture is taken from inside the visitors’ dugout on the third base side of Yankee Stadium, with Doby, sitting on steps facing the camera, holding a bat on his left shoulder in his road Cleveland uniform and the infield and right field, including the famous frieze behind him.

Final weigh-in of 2025: 172.4 lbs. Down exactly 34 pounds from New Year's Day (206.4 lbs). I lost 16.5% of my body weight this year (on purpose). And finished 0.4 lbs above my lowest mark (172.0), which was also my lowest in *at least* the last 25 years. Final weight-loss graph for the year:
