That's the takeaway, but this is the lede. Since 2016, the year before Trump took office, healthcare expenditures have risen 67% but combined earnings (profits) of 3 of the largest health insurers rose by 252%, almost four times more. UHC's went from $7.7 billion in 2016 to $32.4 billion in 2023.
