Two pretty sizable cotton bolls that I hope I'm not jinxing by sharing with the internet. #cottonplant #coloredcotton #gardeningsky
Starting the day on a more positive note than the rest of the week. Here's a couple of the snapdragons that I started way back when things were still frosty. #bloomscrolling
Even though I stepped outside to find another evicted square, I'm feeling a little less unwound after reading an article about this "shedding." The heavy rains stressed my plant, so apparently it's offloading young growth to put energy into other places. There are two larger bolls I'll watch.
I want to get off of Meta stuff so bad, but my small town relies on it for everything, it's the only place to stream severe weather coverage because my antenna doesn't work here, and I use it for part of my income. I feel trapped, and I'm freaking out.
Still crocheting, but not as frequently. Here's where I'm at with the Spike from Buffy piece.
Gave the roses a little tlc this afternoon while the weather's cooler. #bloomscrolling #flowergarden
With all the rain, my big cotton plant has been losing a lot of leaves. I'm pretty worried, but it's still blooming. Maybe that's a good sign. #americancotton #coloredcotton #cottonplant #gardeningsky
Fun fact: Cotton and okra are in the same plant family. Even knowing this, I was surprised when the flower popped off the same way. #gardeningsky #cottonplant #americancotton
Occasionally taking photos with the cotton to mark how tall this plant gets. For reference, I'm a little over 5'9". I wasn't expecting it to get so big. #cottonplant #cottonspinning
After cotton flowers complete self-pollination, the flowers turn pink before dropping off. #cottonplant #coloredcotton #gardeningsky
Leaves on the pumpkin attacked by squash borers are now bigger than my hands. I wish that translated into pumpkin production. All of its flowers have been male. 🥲 #gardeningsky
First cotton bloom watch commencing! #americancotton #organiccotton #cottonspinning
I had no idea okra just pushed its flowers off after they bloom. Was bewildered to find these in the pots. #gardeningsky
I thought this pumpkin would die when I dug squash borers out, but it's healthier than ever and escaping the bed. #gardeningsky
Gorgeous two-toned snapdragons - maybe worth the long wait after all. #bloomscrolling
My partner, who doesn't eat okra, wanted okra plants because he likes the flowers. Now that I'm seeing them, I get it. It's going to be interesting plotting different ways to cook them after they're done. #gardeningsky #bloomscrolling
My last gladiolus of the season are in bloom. 🥲 #bloomscrolling #gardeningsky
The cayenne I started from seed a few months ago has peppers all of a sudden! #gardeningsky
Farm stand season is in full swing, and I am stoked to make a cobbler with these locally grown blackberries. 🥰
Pumpkin progress shots from the past couple of mornings. This little guy is growing SO fast. #gardeningsky
Snapdragons have by far been my most frustrating flower this year, but by golly, we finally have a bud forming. It's pretty darn cute. #gardeningsky #bloomscrolling
