Christopher Hoffman played a fascimating solo cello set at Berlin in Minneapolis Saturday night, mostly playing selections from his new album, Rex: christopherhoffman.bandcamp.com/album/rex
Cameron Kinghorn, who I had never heard before, was tremendous tonight at Berlin in Minneapolis performing soul and R&B along with some of his original compositions. Aby Wolf joined for a couple of songs, and his band included the amazing Kavyesh Kaviraj on keyboards.
The Santa Fe Opera House (which is the most beautiful place to see a concert ever) is supported by cables.
My favorite Music for 18 Musicians recording is the original ECM version, but I want to give a shout out to Erik Hall's 2020 solo re-interpretation. erikhall.bandcamp.com/album/music-...
Seriously, though, if I could afford it, I’d buy one of these things in an instant. I think it looks great and the interior is incredible.
I made the mistake of holding one of these ridiculous overpriced things in my hand and now my credit card is in extreme danger.
Dry Cleaning bypassed Minnesota on this tour so I traveled to San Francisco to see them. No regrets.
A Diab DS-101 computer from the 80s on display at the New Museum in NYC. Why can't we have sick looking computers like this anymore?
Dan Lawonn, amazing as always, during the second @jeremymessersmith.bsky.social album release show at the Parkway on April 25.
@jeremymessersmith.bsky.social and band onstage at the Parkway tonight. An energetic and heartfelt show. The crowd was rocking and so was the band.
You can tell that Sexworld Santa has seen some twisted shit. www.k-bid.com/auction/6365...
I'm still thinking about this art by Yang Yongliang I saw Tuesday at Minneapolis Institute of Art.
Colin Meloy did a show at the Fitzgerald Friday night. His set included a Replacements and a Richard Thompson cover. It was a fun show. The audience was basically all fans, and he knew it.
