There were two picture books I lived and for some reason always thought of together even though I knew they were written by different people. Eventually found them for my own kid and discovered they had the same illustrator!

#Discworld AI hallucinations are sometimes so hilariously obvious. I searched "Terry Pratchett in publication order." I thought I had my browser set to exclude AI, but here is what I got:

Kingston Brown from The Unsleeping City

#booksky I got this book after hearing a review on NPR. *Upward Bound* is a novel about a day program for autistic adults, told from the POV of different participants and staff. The author is a non-speaking autistic man and an excellent writer. The book is tender, funny and heartbreaking. Read it.

Jan Brett's picture books often have a whole different story drawn in the margins--like the hedgehog in *Trouble With Trolls.*

She has been giving them bits of her clothing rather than the dog and is about to "demonstrate" the skis that she's pretending to offer.

In the bottom margin of the page is a drawing of the trolls' underground home with a dog bed and collar ready for their new pet. A hedgehog has found its way in and is making itself at home enjoying all the preparations the trolls had made for the dog.

I never had the slightest interest in getting a tattoo until my kid said they wanted to get me a tattoo for my 55th birthday and get a matching one themself. There's a little design I made when I was 13 and use as a sort of signature, and I decided I didn't mind "signing" my kid either.

#booksky Into the Riverlands, by Nghi Vo, is a fascinating novella about stories and who gets to tell them. Chih is a nonbinary cleric and historian who travels into the Riverlands to collect the stories of its people. It's an eventful journey that creates stories of its own.

#Booksky I posted last night and it vanished into the ether. Just finished reading *The Teller of Small Fortunes* by Julie Leong. A bit too optimistic in some ways, but a lovely story of found family nonetheless.

As we were leaving, I remembered to ask if I could get a picture. The aide came out into the hall to pose with her. Now I just wish the photo didn't read as "Oh, how sweet," rather than "Thanks for giving me valuable information."
