Meanwhile we also have young Western gulls, aka speckled fuzzballs, just around the corner.

With the unusual (for summer) high clouds, we’ve had some spectacular sunsets this weekend. Here’s tonight’s, from the overlook at Natural Bridges State Park.

Yep. Which is also the origin of the “has the iceman come yet?” joke, as the iceman tended to be young and pretty buff, and would be making his deliveries when the husband was off at work.

I love how Mamdani casually throws a dig at Trump without saying a word, by making his speech from behind George Washington's desk.

Lalas during the anthem at the Brazil-US game at Stanford Stadium in 1994. Played on the Fourth of July. Brazil won 1-0 despite playing with ten men for half of the game (a defender got red-carded just before halftime for elbowing a US player in the head.)
