Now that Citi Bike is my area, I’ve recruited Citi Bike into grocery duty for smaller trips. Sometimes I want to leave the giant truck (my Tern GSD) at home. Now just need some protected bike lanes!
Citi Bike has come to our neighborhood, with only one rack so far, but it is already being used. There was one bike here a few hours ago. This rack has also really improved safety at this intersection with a crosswalk but no stop sign. Much better visibility with bikes instead of one big car.

If you want to safely cross this busy street with a curb cut, you’d need to cross to the other side to do it because this guy can’t use the legal parking that would put him 40 feet further from the bagel shop. The police are fine with this of course.
