Truly weird is this piece from the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. It certainly made me double-take Info is in the ALT description #AlphabetChallenge #WeekZforZany

Sitting in a museum gallery is what looks like an ox carved out of a tree with a marble head and its petrified brain exposed and sticking out of the top of its head. It is posed so that is looks like a dog sitting up and begging. It has a mad look in its eyes.

The sculpture was actually created as something of a curiosity. It is from Padua, Italy, in the second half of the 18th century. It’s made from marble, glass, wood, and “organic mass.” The petrified organic mass is growth from a large mammal.

I’ve seen Confederate flags in various cemeteries in the area in the last few years. Never when I was younger. I took a picture the first time I saw one. At the cemetery outside Fort Osage.

A silver plane, the Lockheed Electra 10-E, sits in the middle of an airplane hangar turned museum dedicated to Amelia Earhart. The plane has been restored, and is the only one left in existence.
