I have always believed this. From my earliest memories until today. Perhaps remarkable given that I was raised evangelical and educated in parochial school. But my mother is and has always been highly intelligent... well north of the minimum for MENSA membership, although she never joined.
This is what "pro-life" means to Republicans. Oh sure, some will protest, but when it comes time to vote, this is what they vote for. Both before and after they know that this will be the result, betraying their protestations as nothing more than self-delusion at best. This is what they vote for!
The oldest and one of my favorites was printed in 1887: One of the things that I love about it is that the recipes are lecture style - literally transcribed lectures - from which her students had to recreate the dish for the following class. So, none of the familiar formatted recipes we all know.
Well known fact about me (by the half dozen or so who know me well...) - I collect cookbooks. By far, the most useful are these two. Every cook should own a copy of one of them. They are incredibly useful when you want to know what thing(s) would taste good with what other thing(s).
Dinner tonight: meditarranean baked cod with tomatoes and olives, served with Greek lemon rice.

Dinner tonight: Mediterranean tacos. The form is tacos, and I used wheat street tacos. Everything else is mediterranean. Diced chicken marinated in Lebanese spices for about 5 hours, greek style salsa with tomatoes, olives, shallots & spices, and tzatziki sauce. Really tasty!
