So sending police to patrol remote areas is the priority now? So people in flats can have disposable barbecues? Send the police into all the wooded areas? How many extra officers should we recruit for that? And what if they aren’t exactly where they need to be when a fire starts?

Nothing beats the Stay Puft marshmallow man in Ghostbusters. Pictured is the Atari 8-bit version. A single sprite (called Players in Atari speak) could be 256 scan lines tall (taller than the screen itself) and had multiple pixel widths. 8 pixels wide apiece, this one is two players side-by-side

To put it bluntly, Margot & Jerry have finally started going green

Barbara, Tom, Margot and Jerry from the 1970s BBC sitcom The Good Life. Tom has given up his white collar job to lead a better life going green with his wife Barbara. Their status obsessed neighbours are not so convinced about this about turn, nor about their neighbours keeping pigs in the back garden.

Not able to remember any particular game as most were endless, but the first (probably only) text adventure I ever completed was Stranded by English software on the Atari 8-bit

Stranded title screen: says welcome to stranded by d. Wood house and c. Hughs. Copyright 1984 English software. Your mission is to return back home to civilisation. Press any key

The game takes place on an uninhabited planet. The first screen shows you on the ledge of a cliff with basically drawn mountains in the distance. The lower half of the screen is where the text adventure takes place.

Text says: you are on a Rocky Mountain path. Exits lead north east. You can see a fuel capsule.

The game then awaits your text input for instructions of what to do next.

Yeah I see warnings of increased electricity usage, but in the UK electricity usage has been declining for a long while now. There are genuine issues though - noise pollution being a major one.
