Made it to Ocracoke Island! Sad I have to return home to NYC so soon for Shavuot but I’m avoiding storms on the horizon anyway. The water temp is 73F! I am committing to waking up at 5:30 am to swim at sunrise before driving back before noon.

The water temp is 68F and the air temp is 79F and although I have a 3/2 wetsuit I swam in a bikini (not pictured…yet) and it was glorious. I plan to get back in after a quick pit stop at my incall. Also why do the crowds leave so early before sunset? The water is warmest at sunset, and gorgeous too

I slept in a little (long drive from NYC) but I’m en route to the 757! I’ve brought both 4/3 and 3/2 wetsuits for ocean swimming although given the warm airtemps, I may be initially tempted to swim without a wetsuit. I’ll provide more updates soon 🌊

Starting my trip back down south towards Raleigh today! Spent a meaningful Shabbat here in my hometown of NYC. I will be passing by DC/MD/VA along the way, I can make stops for outcalls or Dayuse dates. Driving a rental — pray my car will be ready for pickup from the shop in NC tmr :)
