Continuing my reread of every Usagi Yojimbo single issue comic book in order. I’m up to #23 from the 3rd series dated September 1998.
Finished the series. Good story, unique artwork. Not sure why this one flew under the radar for most people. My own conspiracy theory of Boom comics is that most of the miniseries are attempts by authors to parlay a story into a TV show or movie. Maybe this is just as far as they wanted to take it
On to issue 4. Apparently I go this cover variant too, which seem to be cooler than the A covers after 1.

I read this 5 part miniseries during Covid, and I remember liking it. But I don’t remember anything about it other than funky artwork and an interesting story. Rereading it starting today.
I always liked that cover! My 4th of July selection is Richard Corben’s cover for Slow Death where aliens discover the long lost planet earth
