Older LGBTQ+ people are a resilient and vital part of the LGBTQ+ community, but many older LGBTQ+ people face significant inequalities in housing, health, social care, and financial security. Too often, their experiences are overlooked. 1/2

Last week, our Chief Executive, Paul Roberts, and Trustee, Callum Pethick, attended the Trans+ History Week Parliamentary Reception. We supported the event booking and helped ensure access through Trans+ History Week travel bursaries for those who might not otherwise attend. 1/3

LGBT+ Consortium facilitating a series of roundtables to bring together organisations across different sectors and communities to explore collaborations, increase visibility and generate action plans and insight that we can use to influence decision-makers.

Join us next week where we will be joined by Designability, and discussing our recently published guide. You will also have the opportunity to connect with other organisations, share challenges, best practice and ideas for collaborations.

Would you like to contribute to research on suicide prevention for LGBTQ+ people? The research project, entitled @Rain_Within_The_Rainbow, is being run by Edinburgh University, and you can contribute in several ways – including by taking a survey or giving an interview. 1/2

Today marks Trans+ History Day, part of Trans+ History Week. At Consortium, we are proud to support our member Trans+ History Week in restoring Trans+ people’s place in our collective human story and creating space to share the history lesson many of us were never taught. 1/4
