Dare to Struggle Austin also has said that it and Families Demanding Justice are the only local groups working with the Williams family, and that others are just want to use Anthoneil's death to advance their own agendas.
The group is women-led, following principles of "rematriation." Contreras (taking the selfie below, at the project's 2025 harvest) said it's about "viewing everything as a mother."
I'd recommend against sending your ssn and dob to 100+ news outlets, but go off mr. president sir
The judge said that the jurors wouldn't be paid for weekends or holidays. Why? She didn't say. www.kxan.com/news/local/t...
Paxton just walked out of his own campaign presser after answering one question. Others were asked, including about his homes, but he refused to answer any questions that weren't related to law enforcement.
No clue if this is anything, but an Army Black Hawk is flying at 160 mph in a straight line from a rural area NE of Uvalde, Texas towards Del Rio/Laughlin AFB
AI is driving society insane. I avoid using AI chatbots, but I wanted to see how a claim like this spreads. So, I asked Google's AI, "is the mcconnell photo from 2023" and it said yes. I asked if it could find where the photo was posted in 2023. It couldn't, and said it was "newly taken."
Broadly speaking, sure; but the bans didn't apply to trans men, the legal cases weren't about them, and the court's opinion does not mention them (except for the screengrab below). Any impact felt by trans men from this is a byproduct of transmisogyny, which has drenched every step of this process.
I felt that this story needed a list of some ethical controversies about AI:
AP photo shows water pumped from the Lincoln Reflecting Pool, it's so clearly blue (photo credit Cliff Owen)
So I'm fairly certain this will be the first legal test of SB 8's "reasonable steps standard"
Cornyn on Trump's endorsement of Paxton, in part: "He has consistently called me a friend" How he's probably feeling right now:
"Pray away the gay" didn't work for Tim Schraeder Rodriguez, but it did give him "shame, suicidal tendencies, depression, anxiety." Maybe remarkably, he still has his faith:
The man accused of stabbing a 19-y.o. transgender woman in Seattle appears to have self-published a book on Amazon. Seems like it took the cover from Michelle Alexander's "The New Jim Crow":
Lunch break hobby posting: I'm having great success with working through my backlog of painting projects. Nearly all of these were just sitting around partially painted as of a month ago. Getting organized and prioritizing projects nearest to completion helps a lot!
Idk, feels weird to put these in and not also say whether either state ever investigated him for it!
Tough to imagine the Cornyn and Paxton campaigns uniting after the primary runoff when Cornyn's team is sending out mailers like this:
Grace Carol Brown is held under a $50k bond at the Comal County jail for a felony charge of terrorism. The court has granted her a personal recognizance bond on the two other felony charges that have been brought against her:
