One of the joys (?) of a countryside jaunt is working out which of the dozen macro beers available in the village shop will be the most interesting/offer the best value for money Not had this since I was a teenager, so I can't remember if it always smelled weird (tastes alright though)
Kudos to Sam Neill for once giving me a thorough case of the heebie-jeebies. In a sexy, understated, nuanced performance of highly-strung menace that, despite the splattery effects and demon stuff, remains the most chilling part of the film ( no, I'm not talking about Event Horizon )

Finally caught up with Supergirl. Pleased to report that it's thoroughly, resoundingly, okay-ish. I can't imagine anyone being blown away by it - but it's no trainwreck. Cast good. Script fine. Action okay. Cinematography muddy. FX variable Music rubbish.

Still getting my head around the climactic beatdown (a scene that deserves as much love as the Raid 2 kitchen fight) Few, individual showy/meme-able moments, but the choreography (in it’s most literal sense) is *stunning*
