ADHD advocate. Kidney donor ditto. Perhaps they're connected. Old person.
Yep....perhaps it's a Dorset thing? Robinson's Lime marmalade jars, FYI...
I can't explain why, but this photograph of an unknown man, taken in Split, Croatia a few years ago is my favourite of thousands accumulated over the years. Does anyone know how to import sound files? I'd like to add a nightingale I recorded the same week.
This, people, is a quiche lorraine. I'm a lousy cook and I only had filo pastry, so improvised with a book. It looks awful, so if this my last post, think only this of me...
Silver fossilised Ringstead Bay oyster shells (Deltoideum) from Dorset beach. One theory is that they were flattened by pressure of the mud/sand that they died in. They sit by the woodburner, looking cool.
Reminds me of a blowl of mussels I enjoyed recently. Sorry, still can't do alt.text....
President Tito of Yugoslavia when I was about 8 in the 50s. Why? No idea. I then moved on to Stalin.....I think old men appealed. I was an only child in a large family of old aunts and uncles.
I hurt my cruciate ligament and needed to wait for my ride in Weymouth - and there was a row of friendly, bottom-level bollards to rest on! Thank you, WBA.
Oh good. Read the article in the Sun Times, I think it was. Cairo the Bengal particularly wants to see it; he'a great admirer of Larry and has the tote bag to prove it.
Here's the book. Must have found it when he died in 2001 or thereabouts. Never even opened it; the pages are still stuck together. Shows how blasé we are about our parents! Wow, I managed an acute accent!
@in-otter-news.bsky.social Is this Steve's personal brewery? It seems to be local. I wonder if Brad is a partner in the business?
Saw these chained bollards in Seville today. What are they thinking of? Utmost cruelty
Cairo's on standby to do the washing up while Dayve rests.....he's even pretending to send his love. x
