Argo CD stuff, Crozet Virginia stuff Physically can't stop talking about bike/pedestrian infrastructure. It's a problem, please help.
I'll just post this. He didn't go point by point, but it's all a nice summary.
Since I'm playing with maps, I'd venture to suggest that this area of Crozet probably has more tree coverage today than it did in 1957.
This is such needlessly NIMBY framing of this project. The single-family house adjacent to the project lot was built in 1962. Crozet was not designated a growth area until 1971. Here's a satellite photo from 1977 showing the lot and a MASSIVE adjacent area were already cleared for farming.
Apparently the landlord at Old Trail realized that renting out a massive restaurant space is difficult when the tenant is expected to foot the bill to finish the space.
Crozet crew, Wendell House is giving away a bunch of Italian loaves, come get 'em when they open tomorrow at 10!
So no mention of general enforcement in that lane, but maybe at least the police vehicle won't be parked illegally.
Still no response from AskACPD, so I emailed Chief Reeves and Deputy County Executive Henry. I noticed there's plenty of street parking room about 50' away on Anlee Rd.
Update. The ACPD generic email address is unresponsive after two days. Glad I CC'ed Ann Mallek who immediately responded and has continued to follow up.
Quick tour of the new 240/250 roundabout in Crozet. Functional but still very work-in-progress. It's already a LOT nicer entering 250. I'm a little worried that 250 through traffic west->east won't slow down enough, but will wait to see the final product.
These folks parked in the bike lanes probably just didn't see the bike symbol
Mudhouse made their community board smaller, but the community refuses to be governed
Snow plow truck was looking a little retro, so we brought in reinforcements
Dragon latte art at Mudhouse this morning before the snow sets in
Fun coincidence to bump into mention of our governor in this book today. I'm not saying be defeatist. I'm saying be vigilant.
The title as it appears in the Bluesky preview is Simply False.
