The incredibly affectionate Gizmo will be attached to you at all times if that’s the kind of cat you want. When tasks specifically do not require a cat, he will be there to add a cat to the equation. He especially loves face hugs and making biscuits in your neck.
There’s nothing like the absolute joy at seeing your new adopted kitten for the first time and knowing she’s always been meant to be part of your family. 🥰 it was true love at first sight for Mocha’s adopters!
All 5 of the Breakfast Club kittens are available to adopt, in pairs or singles, they’re all extremely social, outgoing, brave & playful. -Eggs Benedict, br tabby boy w/white stripe -Cinnamon Bun, br tabby tuxie boy -Pancake, grey tabby girl -Omelette, grey tabby girl white feet -Coffee, void girl
Hans and Franz are two adorable, sweet bonded brothers who are SUCH excellent cuddlers. If you’ve always wanted a pair to entertain each other when they aren’t entertaining you, they are your guys! 100% pure sugar— bonus, if you love Grandma Sunflower, these are her last grandsons ever.
Laguna is a super loving, playful, affectionate and outgoing young cat (10 months-ish). He is waiting for surgery to remove a troublesome polyp from his inner ear the first week of August, but I’d love to line a home up for him while he waits. He is such a huge character, SO goofy & sweet, the best
Cid’s a man who is quickly mastering the art of being extremely sweet and affection-seeking, with a rumbly purr and biscuits ready to go. He is turning that feral card and is so ready to be out of my office and into a forever home. He was social with some cats at the colony, but slow intros please.
Another one who will need some patience but is also ready to fly her foster nest is Sparrow, Junco’s tortico sister. Shy and flighty like her namesake, all the pieces are there and she is warming up to people after so much positive interaction. She has the tiniest meow!
If you like a bit of a project, we have the very fluffy Junco. Named after a snowbird when he and his sister Sparrow were brought into the rescue during the coldest winter in a decade, this guy is finally starting to come around to the people-friendly life. His fosters have done great work with him.
For people who want a cuddle bug who gets along with everyone, there’s Elena. She’s just about a year old, and after a slow socializing start, has truly blossomed and now just wants to be everyone’s friend all the time. A silly, charming gem in a plain brown standard issue tabby package!
Rounding out the Auto Club kids is Mercedes, who is absolutely gorgeous but has the hardest time with change and will need a very patient, empathetic & car savvy adopter. She is a lovely cat but needs a lot of one on one socializing with new people before she feels safe with them. She deserves love.
Bentley is Ferrari’s more shy and reserved brother. He likes to be Near but still isn’t sure how Near he wants to be, and takes a long time to warm up to pets. He is playful and an extremely handsome and good boy who has only ever known a life with humans since he was tiny. He just needs HIS human.
Next up is Ferrari: She’s a little over 1 year old and the most outgoing and overtly friendly of the Auto Club siblings. She loves to chase a wand toy and is chatty and enjoys pets once she gets to know you!
Shoyu is a young adult cat (3-4 years old) who was trying to raise her two kittens barely 100 yards from my own front door. Her kittens were adopted, but without a safe colony for Shoyu to return to, we wanted to try socializing. She’s shy, quiet cat who shows love in her own way & loves her Churu
Gizmo discovered the cat wheel (and then he later discovered he could do zoomies on it)
Confirmed SaMindy’s catnip toys are Certified Good Shit™️
It’s happening 😭 (video: Cid, a classic orange tabby cat, lays contentedly facing close to foster dad’s face, getting pets and purring loudly while making small biscuits)
Oh my god?? (Video: Cid, a classic orange tabby cat, lays beside foster dad, resting his head on his knee, purring happily)
After nearly TWO YEARS, the last female at the Sunflower colony— a daughter of Grandma Sunflower herself and mom of *four* C4C litters— has finally been apprehended!! I nearly cried when this highly trap-suspicious cat finally took the last step to trigger the pressure plate and the door came down 😭
Gizmo is mixing his nerd references here with “Super Little Shop of Mario Gremlins” (actually, once he was able to have kittens his age to play with, his play biting pretty much disappeared and he’s just a sweet, snuggly baby now. He loves to cuddle right up to your face. Like “Alien”).
For the first time ever, stepped out of the kennel. He approached me all on his own to request pets and I am just very emotional about this, y’all.
Last week, I got a message about a stray kitten who turned out to be in my own little neighborhood subdivision, just about a block away. I haven’t yet posted about him but let’s fix that— his name is Gizmo because he has big Gremlin energy— the most sweetest boy one minute, a bitey tornado the next.
Well we thought we had caught all 8 of the kittens at this small colony, but surprise-! There was one more, for a total of 9!! Kittens from 5!! Different moms! A great example of how quickly a small colony can turn into a crisis, as in just 4 months, all of these kittens could begin breeding, too.
Last night, the Animal Protective League shelter in Springfield, IL had the roofs ripped off both of their buildings by a tornado. Thankfully, all animals & staff are safe, but both buildings are a total loss. Fosters for displaced pets & donations needed! www.instagram.com/p/DZcjW9DlHQ...
Yeah there’s no way this cat is going back to the colony. Cid’s walls are coming down. He seeks connection— after this, he sat at the front of the kennel for the 1st time, wanting to be closer, hoping for more pets without knowing how to request them. Purring deep in his chest, relaxed. Relieved.
Sir you stop that right now. You’re supposed to be feral. FERAL. Things Cid did tonight he has never done before- -cheek mark me -head bump -half-hearted belly show -ELEVATOR BUTT This is the first time in 40 days he has done more than passively accept pets and so many bricks fell out of the wall😭
Kickstand, our little gas station CH wobbly guy, was fixed and tested negative for FIV/FeLV, so now it’s time to see if he would like to be a friendly indoor guy.
