I need folks to understand “oh no we didn’t kick out the tankies, we just let them make public statements on our letterhead while shaking our head so folks know we don’t really approve!” does not make you more appealing as a party to join or be in coalition with.
It's astonishing how easy it is to clock when someone has some bullshit position at a think tank or firm likely funded by one or two billionaires who really really want to spread their fringe positions. Its depressing how many there are and how easily they get published.
What I love is Foote consistently ignores how many Union officers and men didn’t care about it when it was an abstraction, something down south. But once they actually encountered it face to face they recognized evil and called for a violent end to slavery and slavers.
I was playing with some newbies and I knew that part of the fun for newer folks is actually having pieces to move and be in charge of… but I didn’t know how much they’d stick so I wanted a cheap investment. Thankfully, old school Cowboys and Indians packs were cheap and easy!
Later expanded and played in the basement of my school 😃 our learning architect shotgunned a lot of people.
We don’t have basements here so the terrain has to be more modular
I see this sort of thing a lot and it drives me nuts. The Biden administration pursued fiscal policy on a scale unseen since FDR, implemented the Green New Deal in all but name, ended the War in Afghanistan, and stopped 99% of the drone strikes and was given no reward whatsoever by the left for it.
I think this will turn out to be the sketch with the most staying power of the decade, honestly.

I honestly do not know this lady actually navigates this world. Flocks of wallet inspectors must circle her like vultures.
