The 18.2% raise reflected this, including that since the last raise in 2016, comparable cities had increased salaries by a median 29%, dropping NYC's City Councilmember salaries below those in Los Angeles, Philadelphia, San Francisco, San Diego, and Chicago. Read more: lnkd.in/eCdsFnRP

We served as the independent research partner for the Commission, providing data on elected officials in comparable cities, analysis on inflation and cost of living in New York City, and wage trends for similar positions both within government and in the private sector.

What impact do immigrants have on American communities? Taxes, jobs, crime, culture? To what effect? Many of these are hard to measure, but the data exists. We reviewed the research on how immigrants impact economy, health, and safety across the country. buff.ly/ORgOyYW
