Union Ironworker Local 118, been doing it for 36+ years,elected official in my local,blue(always have been), don’t understand how my union brothers and sisters would vote for the ones that will destroy their union
Crud!, the left circle is the Bug fire that kept me up all night and the one on the right is a BRAND NEW ONE!, the Fred’s Mountain fire! I’d bet it was someone up there watching the Bug Fire in there side by side! They were out all night long riding the surrounding ridges trying to get a look
Things are looking better this morning, the map shows the footprint of the fire, I sure hope no one lost anything ( the map is from the Watch Duty app, it’s a fantastic app if you live in a wildfire zone. It alerts you to local fires and how/when/where to evacuate! )
I guess we’re kinda lucky there’s an airport in the neighborhood that refills the fire fighting jets and planes
This is not good, it’s a few miles north of my house right now but if the wind shifts I’ll have to make a decision
Out looking for cow elk in north eastern Nevada but all we’ve seen are these guys
It’s a little hazy from the Elephant wildfire (about 10miles as a crow flies) but not bad, you can definitely smell it
I’ve probably posted this before but my brother is an Engineer for the UP out of Sparks Nv. Last year they had a family day with the Big Boy! We couldn’t climb on it but it was still cool!
Me too, they’ve been fighting the Elephant fire 15 miles to the west of me since Friday and now the Red Rock fire

My brother is an engineer for the Union Pacific Railroad in Reno,a couple of years ago the “Big Boy” came through Reno and stayed for a few days. He took me down to see it up close, they wouldn’t let us climb aboard 🙁
