The Hagia Sophia, was unfortunately under construction with lots of scaffolding, but still captured some really beautiful vignettes.

Flight 2026-23. IST-NAP. I fucking hate landing in Naples, y'all. So fucking much. It's always so goddamn terrifying. Anyway, bye for now Istanbul.
Landed in Istanbul tonight, and already stunned by what a beautiful city it is. On top of that, everyone has been so very nice. Can't wait to explore more tomorrow.
Flight 2026-22. DEN-IST. On the 12-hour flight today, I watched a man eat a Babybel cheese without taking the wax off.
I feel like a lot of people who don't live in Denver *do* know about the demon horse statue outside our airport (a horse with glowing red eyes, that actually killed its own sculptor). But I'm not sure all of those people know that it *also* has a full on engorged butthole, for some reason.
I appreciate this airport bathroom for providing toilet paper in both the correct and incorrect orientation:

The arctic is one of my favorite flight routes. Going over Greenland and Eastern Canada, I always love looking down at the rugged, unexplored sections of mountain ranges and millions of little icebergs floating around in a myriad of patterns.
My dog is afraid to walk past these objects on the bottom step, so when going down the stairs, his solution is to walk mostly past them, then get scared and sit next to them.
Between Bordeaux and Toulouse, some teens in the '40s discovered a cave absolutely filled with 16,000 year old paintings. While the actual cave is locked down to protect them now, they used laser measurements to literally recreate the cave and its paintings exactly so that people can see them.
