Congratulations to Jared Blumenfeld, who was appointed by Gov. Gavin Newsom to the State Water Resources Control Board. Jared has been an ally to the SAFER program since the beginning. We look forward to working together to achieve the Human Right to Water for all Californians.
This weekend, CWLN members went on a Water Tour of Lamont, Delano, & Lindsay to learn about the different water challenges each community faces. Members heard from local officials about what they are doing to ensure access to safe & affordable drinking water for their communities.

Last week, Central Coast partners and CWC staff provided comments and presented at the Central Coast Regional Board’s Alternative Water Supply Program Workshop. Our partners highlighted the importance of SAFER and the need to hold dischargers accountable.

🚧Springfield construction update: Laterals are now successfully installed in 37 out of the 40 connections on Struve Rd. Next, we will continue to troubleshoot with the remaining connections and start lateral construction at the mobile home park that has 104 lateral connections.

Today, community partners from the Central Valley travel to Modesto for the Exception Policy Hearing. CWC was part of a panel presentation with org allies and community partners. We will continue to advocate until everyone has safe drinking water.
