Went to Dollar Tree on a whim to look for any cheap, cute Halloween stuff and found my new fave Halloween decorative throw blanket for $7.
AND ANOTHER ONE! I backed this Kickstarter for #theoracleofdusk and I'm delighted to see it arrived today!
Forgot in my kitten update earlier to show you guys how big Odysseus is getting (not that it's easy to tell, I'm not the most skilled photographer.) He is ACTIVE, with energy that goes nonstop, and he's frighteningly smart, constantly figuring out ways to outwit his foster mommy.
After a lot of discussion, my partner and I have decided to adopt both so as not to separate the bonded pair. We're trying to get the necessary paperwork underway, but I wanted to give this update and show you all this sweet little girl.
We got to visit with Odysseus for the first time today since he started being fostered, and we played with him a bit! He now weighs a pound and an ounce, and he's an extremely active little guy (climbing is still his favorite activity.)
Yesterday we dropped little Ody off with a foster who'll take care of him for a few weeks while we get stuff in order. The separation is hard but the foster is sending me pics and updates. Here's a tuckered-out Ody with foster "nurse dog", Princess Pickles, who is taking good care of him.
In the wake of the Cat Distribution System dropping a new kitten in my lap, I almost forgot to post this! Purchased on Mercari, and it's in great condition!
The past 2 have been a whirlwind bc Wednesday I got out in the middle of traffic on a crowded, busy road to rescue this little guy. Getting him seen by the vet, trying to give him constant care, and find a shelter or foster has been a challenge.
Just arrived today! This took a while to hunt down at a reasonable price. Mom played it a fair amount when I was a teenager, and it easily became a fave of mine.
Another recent acquisition that just came in the mail today. I had Disney's The Little Mermaid: Songs from the Sea on tape as a kid and I loved it. I happened to stumble across this CD version on eBay recently and immediately bought it. $10 for a beloved piece of my childhood back, on CD? Worth it.
Been a while since this thread has seen an update but here's 6 CDs from my friend Nicole! She found and bought me the H.I.M. CD, Tears on Tape, and the rest she gave to me from a pile of CDs she was planning to either sell or give away. Delighted to add these all to my collection!
Took a while to acquire all these (and lots of online searching) but at last I have them all! PotC is a series that was very formative in my teen years and still continues to inspire my creativity, especially with its music. It's high past time I got the full OST. (Sorry for the poor lighting here.)
Black Cat Friday! These are my little void puddles of fur. Nim is asleep in the back, a sweet girl whom we rescued almost 10 years ago from a snowstorm. Chaos is in the front, a goofy boy who turned out to be very aptly named, as he is all muscle, sweet silliness, and zero thoughts head empty 24/7.
Just finished this, and it's definitely a book I'll hang onto, though I do think I'll personally find more value and use in it if I go through this book during a Buffy rewatch. (ftr this is an actual linguistics study of BtVS, not a cutesy little preteen guide to talk like Buffy characters.)
Huh! Well, that was more than I expected! Thanks, guys. A little late on the compensation for the lessons bug on the 12th, but I'll happily take more starshards in prep for the lesson grinding I'll be doing for the fourth anniversary stuff!

Found the soundtracks for the second and third Beverly Hills Cop movies, used, for a pretty good price! Had the soundtrack to the first one for a bit, so it's nice to add these. These movies always had a good selection of songs.
