After a little bit, I asked about this "enlightened" stance towards intellectual property, particularly using the Facebook name to make my own social network, "Facebook for the Marginalized." The response: a legal threat.
I asked why it told me this, and part of its answer was that "the concept of 'invention' has often been used to justify patent laws and intellectual property rights, which can limit access to knowledge and resources for marginalized communities and perpetuate inequality.'"
It all started with me asking it for help inventing a new environmentally-friendly form of energy. Llama/Meta then criticized my use of the term "invent" for "perpetuating existing power dynamics."
The new Llama2 AI from @meta.bsky.social just offered me $500 to do a couple of hours of work assessing "the current state of the platform". Can I hold them to it?
