Picking out books for my class paratext lesson is always fun.

It's a good thing this is a novella because I absolutely wasn't going to put it down.

So far I'm celebrating #JenkinsJuly with two of the LeVeq brothers. My first time reading Through the Storm and Rebel! Published 21 years apart, and @authormsbev.bsky.social never misses a beat.

One of my college roommates was a mixtape expert and artistic, so we spent time doing stuff like this. I don't have tech to play them, but I won't get rid of them.

Elder cat agrees with me that the ending of The Marquis Who Mustn't is basically perfect. @courtneymilan.com is a historical romance wizard , especially when it comes to small moments that hit really hard and well.

Also, speaking of 1980s fantasy romance, when I was a kid I read Tamora Pierce (naturally) and then browsing along the shelves led me to Meredith Ann Pierce Look at this cover! It's a trilogy and I reread it multiple times (would come with cws these days for sure!)
