Again wishing I could walk without roasting on the Vandeventer section of the new connector
Can’t believe I have this opportunity but - I’m running the Chicago Marathon and raising funds for Girls on the Run 🙌 I’d love your support for me and this amazing organization in helping me reach my goal of raising $2,200 🏁 You can donate here! fundraisers.hakuapp.com/dandoelling
Do feel like Vandeventer got the short end of the Tower Grove Connector planning stick 🫠 Here we have an atrocious 35ft long curb cut, half for a business that already has access to Vandeventer via a side street (second photo).
There is a strip of grass between Central Industrial and Boyle, but they didn’t dig wells deep enough for trees.
Love the Tower Grove Connector. Disappointed that Vandeventer’s paths are concrete-covered while all Tower Grove Ave gets tree lawns and landscaping.
Forest Park Connector portion of the Brickline Greenway is at 60% of its design schedule with final design approval planned for December 2027. Bidding/contracting expected in 2030(!!!!) Current concepts: drive.google.com/drive/folder...
Sometimes all you need is beer, a fire pit, and a park to get the neighborhood out
56 FPSE neighborhood litter pick-up events. Over 7 years. Totaling 100+ hours. Resulting in 400+ bags of trash. Big impact starts local.
The City's draft Transportation & Mobility Plan has been posted online and is now open for public comment! Draft: www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/wk9a1... Public comment: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F...
Upgrades coming to the entry of Forest Park at Lagoon Drive. - Overhead entry signage - Sidewalk on the north side of Lagoon Drive - Musicians Memorial & Fountain as a destination - Greater tree canopy + lighting Construction anticipated to begin this Winter: drive.google.com/file/d/1q8g2...
Thank you to the tactical urbanist/s who repainted the intersection of Tower Grove and Vandeventer 👏
Sad day as a family-frequented neighborhood park in FPSE was disassembled for what may be a “better use” on paper. Emphasizes the need for Chouteau Park to pull more weight in drawing neighbors together. Those plans in the works, but currently seeking community donors to finalize conceptual plans.
Sometimes when I’m in Forest Park I feel like I’ve teleported elsewhere
This bill officially designates the Kansas City Royals as Missouri's "subpar" professional baseball team 🤣
Final Route 100 plans were released. They include the first protected bike lanes MoDOT has constructed in the entire state (the city will be responsible for maintaining them). Approx from Spring to 4th. drive.google.com/file/d/1tYdt...
Sanctuaria in The Grove was just hit by a car. There are no design improvements to prevent such traffic violence near this intersection in MoDOT’s Route 100 improvement plans.
