A riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma, coated in breadcrumbs and dipped in ketchup. Refugees welcome. Hate AI. Love fountain pens, baseball and In Our Time. He/him North Devon, UK 🧡
Drove 1 profile viewer where? Drove them to despair? Drove them to drink?
About 200 people outside Torrington town hall this evening (plus a similar number inside) to support the campaign against a mahoosive AI data centre on the edge of the town. There's a petition you can sign if you like that sort of thing: www.change.org/p/say-no-to-...
New fountain pen and ink arrived today. Delivered by UPS who brought it from Milan to Devon via - and this is not a joke - Louisville and Cologne. Pen: Benu Cocktail Hour Mojito Ink: Tomo & Lims Mango Mojito
I thought this said "Buy 1, get 110% off" - so, if I buy this item (but only one of it), I get it for free and they also send me 70p. Apparently, it's 'buy one and get another one at 10% off'. Which is much less interesting. About 100% less interesting, in fact.
"I've designed the label to go on your notebooks. I've come up with a brilliant way to illustrate the fountain pen friendly paper." "Oh, ok. Doesn't seem like it would be that difficult but let's see what you've got." "Um, sure. Just bear in mind I was in B&Q when I thought of this."
I have managed to get myself employed again so I have been window shopping for fountain pens. This is in a virtual basket, being seriously contemplated.
Yeah, but I want to be liked by all the cool lefty kids. This will probably help.
This (the letter, not Elgot) is the kind of thing you would write if you were trying to do a political storyline in a soap opera but you knew nothing about politics. And also you are seven years old. And also you are the most stupid person to have ever lived.
I get some odd recommendations from YouTube sometimes. Not sure how my watching videos about fountain pens and Japanese stationery has led to this.
I was ironing, Fitbit, but thanks for noticing. I've always tried to persuade my family that ironing counts as exercise.
You'd think by the fifth or sixth time this person might be going "yeah, I know, you've been telling me this every minute for the last few minutes".
An annoying aspect of the English language is that "sanction" can mean 'approved' or it can mean 'penalised'. Thus, I have no way of knowing from this headline if ships are passing through Hormuz despite being US-sanctioned or because of it.
We have been trying to find the right colour for our living room for about four years. We've finally chosen and are redecorating this weekend, but we will miss this wall. It will be weird not having all these colours behind us when we watch TV.
I'd be embarrassed to be a BBC correspondent and put this under my name. Trump is not some cryptic genius, misdirecting and obfuscating. He's a compulsive liar. He's not "adept at changing rhetoric". He's lying. Sometimes to manipulate the markets, sometimes because he has no idea what's going on.
My love of fountain pens has finally paid off as I have been appointed UK brand ambassador for Writech, as they enter the fine writing market with an Urushi Emperor version of their popular Retractable fountain pen.
Me to potential employers: I have the perfect remote working set-up, so you can be assured of my full attention at all times. Rosie to my perfect remote working set-up: This looks nice.
