Fervent advocate of democracy. Never give up. Enjoy walking backcountry trails. By the way, photo credit to others with gratitude.
Impromptu still-life on a kitchen counter this morning. Getting ready for our little granddaughter. 😊
Beautiful day at Barkerville this week. Our local historical Gold Rush town. Looking nice.
These lovely flowers have been growing in our yard for over 40 years now. Treasured.
A beautiful but very hot day at the VanDusen Botanical Gardens from two years ago. Looking for all the shade I could find.
Beautiful! Thanks Juniper. Sharing one of mine from a couple of years ago.
Very heartened to see this messaging yesterday on a bridge pier. In a bit of an out-of-the-way spot. 💛
My favourite dahlia. Love the fiery colours. Gifted to me years ago. 😊
Finishing up a long day seventeen years ago. Taken with my old HTC flip phone. The high bush cranberries were at height of season and we lingered a little I suppose. 😊
My young lilac in the backyard. Grown from a cutting from my white lilac in the front yard. Very happy with how it's doing.
Now an overgrown small downtown lot. But not long ago, there was a beautiful, vibrant garden here maintained by local volunteers. The founder sadly passed away and, as I remember, interest waned. There are only a few flowers left scattered in the grass. One of them is this lovely yellow tulip. 💛
Today, along with so many others, I'm recognizing the 66th anniversary of the Tibetan people's uprising in Lhasa. A people with indomitable resolve.
A photo from last summer. My yellow Bartzella Itoh peony. Or so the horticulturist told me. Oops. Well I love it anyway.
Wonderful photo. And full credit to others. Kind of sums up how I feel at the moment. A little small relative to world events. But unwilling to put up with any guff. And some very sharp teeth. Nice snarl.
The river is looking to finally freeze over. On a really nice blue sky day.
A bit of blue sky over the river the other day. Good to see the sun.
