Also this extremely nifty worm, with very beautiful bristles. A worm in need of a name.
Someone commissioned a statue of me apparently (at Jungle Prada in St Petersburg, FL)
A few more days before we mobilize on the R/V Hogarth. Let's hope it can contain all this swagger.
It doesn't look like much yet, but I'm about to treat @rufflejax.bsky.social and @oberoy-ls.bsky.social to the most difficult and most delicious pastry ever created by humankind
I have achieved "what if Stevie Nicks was a mermaid" hair once again
They gave the Frogman his little wizard staff and it's kind of hard to be mad about a little frog wizard
Sam Neill is, in my opinion, a truly underrated scream king. Put this man in more horror movies.
I put the movie poster here but this applies to the stage musical too. The songs are fun and catchy.
The costumes are cool, the gothic cyberpunk aesthetic is pretty to look at, Zydrate Anatomy is a bop, Paris Hilton is actually tolerable, and GraveRobber should be my boyfriend. Also: Anthony Stewart Head. Period.
No one plays trauma like Sheryl Lee. If they had given her an actual three-dimensional character with a backstory, told the film from her perspective, and let her kill Daniel Baldwin at the end, it could have actually been a great movie.
Amanda Seyfried is lovely and a very good singer, Christine Baranski is always fun no matter what, and I would enjoy watching Meryl Streep doing literally anything, including staring at me silently in judgment. I also unironically enjoy quite a few ABBA songs, including the title song.
The hyper-saturated magenta was a perfect choice to represent the "unnatural" color from the meteorite. Magenta doesn't exist in the visible spectrum- it's a color invented by your brain blending the opposite ends of the spectrum, red and violet.
There were moments in this movie where I felt absolute dread or genuine horror, the kind that sinks way down into your gut, or follows you down the hall when the lights are turned off.
Reading through this is like that moment in The Big Lebowski when the nihilists set fire to the Dude's car. "Well, they finally did it. They killed science."
Look what I found in the garden yesterday! My strawberry plants have finally decided to bear fruit
Graduation was yesterday and one of my students just sent me this, with the following: "I didnt get to show you yesterday, but I decorated my cap with the best piece of advice I've ever been given" I said this to him. He is quoting me, on his graduation mortarboard. I'm having very big feelings.
Graduation today; I wore one of my favorite dresses under my wizard robe and hat.
