I love using one cohesive idea when making cover art and design for a whole series! I’d love to get more cover work. I’m fast and easy to work with—and I color my own work. Which covers do you like the most here?!

It’s easier when you can use lyrics, however this brings legal issues!!! These are three more commissions of mine.
It’s easier to be specific in smaller bits. The number of panels in this Bowie commission I made correspond to the number of measures in the piece, and the story illustrates the lyrics to SPACE ODDITY, with a few liberties!!
You can always use music notation and manipulate it, the tricky thing is to make it specific, not bullshit fakey fake vague notes. These are from VOODOO CHILD by Bill Sienkiewicz and Martin Green. MASTERFUL book

In Ed Piskor’s HIP HOP FAMILY TREE, the faux printer registration errors indicate heavy bass notes.
In Golden Boy by Mikael Ross, we see a young Beethoven build a piece of music inspired by a bird’s song, built using unique shapes on the page. It’s amazing!
In my book ENTER THE BLUE, the MC enters this liminal space and meets legends from jazz history, and the formal stuff follows one or two musical parameters for each of her trips. Like, Duke Ellington’s music is built by individual sounds of his players, represented by different colors, etc.
There’s a silent 18-page sequence in my book CHASIN’ THE BIRD that depicts the first few choruses of a piece of music by Charlie Parker, following the contour and rhythm of the melody.
