Chonk is a common snapping turtle, Gamera is an alligator snapping turtle. Common snapping turtles max out around 35 lbs, Alligator snapping turtles at 200 lbs. The alligator snapping turtle is endangered and not believed to exist in the North, i spotted a massive one in Des Plaines river.

I think the correct answer is Gamera, the snapping turtle kaiju, first released in 1965. An adult alligator snapping turtle has the same bite force as a polar bear, despite being 1/5 the size:
