Hey, check out my latest T-shirt design over on TeePublic: “Space Vegas,” my tribute to everyone's favorite space bar, holographic lounge act, and space station, #DeepSpaceNine! Pick one up for yourself: www.teepublic.com/t-shirt/9529.... Enjoy!
There’s something quite idyllic about sitting in this great city’s greatest park as the sun sets, watching and hearing the sounds of people playing ball and enjoying themselves #prospectpark

Quite disappointed that @hellgatenyc.com is joining the litany of local media outlets proclaiming @mayor.nyc.gov a failure because he has not fulfilled all his promises in his first 100 days. You should know better especially during an election year that not everything will happen at once.
After reading Graydon Carter’s memoir last year, I decided to start rereading this book on Spy*. It’s reminding me how much I miss Great magazines Great magazine writing and design And for all of its many flaws, 1980s NYC * Proud to say I bought this @strandbooks.com like 15 years ago for $1
Thx @chrislhayes.bsky.social for the enlightening conversation about “The Siren’s Call” at @bklynlibrary.bsky.social’s Center for Brooklyn History. Picked up the book recently @communitybookstore.bsky.social, ready to dive in! Also won’t forget “the vortex of negative charisma” to describe X-boy
Movie idea: What if Claude Rains’s Senator Payne is the actual hero “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington” who goes through a redemptive arc from good man led astray by the ease of corruption only to find his true path at the end?
Was “Judgement Day” an inspiration for one of the best and most emotional #startrek eps, #deepspacenine “Far Beyond the Stars”? Unfortunately the publisher in that story — and too many media moguls today — did not have the brains and chutzpah Gaines showed.
New on @teepublic.bsky.social: my latest shirt design, “Everything Brooklyn”! An everything bagel and Brooklyn, what else do you need? Available in both light and dark colors from my store: www.teepublic.com/user/david-h... #brooklyn #bagel #everythingbagel
The Supermobile *and* the Spider Buggy? Love it. The Supermobile is also the highlight of a favorite #joseluisgarcialopez Action cover
Walking home last night between two avenues on my Brooklyn street, I counted 26 cars out of 38 that haven’t moved since the blizzard two-plus weeks ago. Want billions for NYC @mayor.nyc.gov? Either end free storage of private property on public streets or… @nyc.streetsblog.org @transalt.org
Just waiting until @schumer.senate.gov inevitably caves on naming rights, just as he or his acolytes do on pretty much every thing else www.politico.com/news/2026/02... h/t @ndhapple.bsky.social
A private company running what should be a truly public benefit doing a bad job maintaining service?
Hey @nyctbus.bsky.social, is ANYONE managing the two bus lines on 7th Ave #parkslope? No buses during *rush hour* for 20 mins, then four within 10. And this is typical: long delays then many buses at once. I’d ask when the BK bus network redesign is happening but I doubt it will change anything.
The conversation shouldn’t be about curbing ICE, @schumer.senate.gov @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social, it should be about *closing* ICE (and cc @mayor.nyc.gov, who confusingly insists that no one challenge ineffectual Jeffries for the Brooklyn House seat he no longer deserves)
I hope @tomsuozzi.bsky.social is happy now. No sane representative should be voting for more funds for these killers. The vote should be to prosecute them.
Hey @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social, pls remind me why you want to keep @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social in office? Just bc he represents a geographical area of Brooklyn does not mean he can or even wants to represent the will and needs of people who live in the district or in NYC as a whole @mayor.nyc.gov
Mr. @nyc.streetsblog.org, how many reporters does it take to get the the center of a new @nyc-dot.bsky.social commissioner? nyc.streetsblog.org/2026/01/02/i...
Sad day in the NYC TV world: no #OddCouple New Year’s Day marathon on #WLNY
Bios of Cary Grant and Sinead O’Connor; histories of NYC baseball, Brooklyn’s Fulton Mall, 1776, Amsterdams old and new; tomes by MLK and Bernie Sanders; Paul Auster, “Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow,” and the economics of Star Trek — among the 26 books I read in ’25 per #GoodreadsYearinBooks*
