The orange cats I have had have all been the loves of my life. I was devastated to lose one to nasal lymphoma a couple of years ago. Last year saw a shelter kitten who looked so much like him I broke down and adopted him. He became my other male cat’s best friend. Totally changed him. Congrats!

After a move I found and read my copy of May Sarton’s wonderful journal “At Seventy,” purchased when it came out in 1984. A fan of her poetry back then, I met her at a (pretty disastrous) book signing. The “young woman” in this passage was me! Happy I saved it for when it meant more. And found it!
