This trail used to be a railroad line. They must have used dynamite to blast this notch. It’s pretty narrow and I imagine the rail cars would have skimmed the cliff edge.
Picture doesn’t do it justice, but there is an orange hue to the sky. Later today, it’s supposed to be in the mid 90s and storms with 70-MPH wind.
This corn is definitely more than knee high. This is the first summer we haven’t been under a drought in a while.
Got fooled by this display. No cookies anywhere nearby. In the end, I did get two free.
Nice morning on the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail. I am blessed to have this in my backyard. I’m never going to take this for granted.
