There once was a tool named Sebastian The goofiest rube in our nation He said, "Go to war!" And when asked what for Said "Now! Without hesitation."
BREAKING: Mitch McConnell seen back at his Senate office in decorative urn.
(Eight years ago, today) There once was a Ryan named Paul Who seemed like he did have it all-- Except for a spine And it turned out, one time Small mammals had eaten his car...
Ten years ago today, I was with these brilliant creative people at VCFA. (At the writing for children and young adults MFA program.) Write on, friends.
With today's announcement, there's a new, terrifying D&D monster: The undead (klan) wizard, Lich McConnell.
"If people wanted you to write warmly about them, they should have behaved better."--Anne Lamott Goodbye, Lindsey Graham. It's warmer where you are than I can write about you.
Republicans: No, Mitch McConnell isn't dead. In fact, today he's attending a meeting with Lindsey Graham.

Imagine having done so much harm during your life that even hell makes you wait three extra weeks for admission.
_Compost_ the rich? (There must be a way they could be used to improve food insecurity. Maybe...tax them?)
New publicity photo out today of the Washington Wizards. No, wait. I'm being told that six of them are actually the Washington Grand Wizards.
White supremacist CEO of The Federalist responds to today's decision upholding the 14th Amendment and birthright citizenship. This will certainly help the U.S. tourist industry.
Today, the Supreme Court narrowly overruled the attempt by a convicted felon President to preempt the clear language of the Constitution to revoke the citizenship of those born here. Narrowly. 6 of 9 Justices said it couldn't be done by executive order. Only 5 of them said Congress couldn't do it.
If you want to read about the 1898 Wong Kim Ark case, there's a wonderful children's book about it by Martha Brockenbrough and Grace Lin @authorgracelin.bsky.social. Essentially by only one vote, the Supreme Court upheld that decision (and the 14th Amendment) today.

Quisling Collins' official campaign portrait is out. (And she got a pat on the back from Trump.) Maine, vote her out.
Well. Ice killed another hundred people. Next they're working on ensuring the deaths of Haitians who've legally become productive members of U.S. society. 😢
I hit send on a short story today, which felt great. It seems like it takes ages for me to finish and revise a novel to get it ready to send out, so it felt great to finish something. #writerslife
Today, the Supreme Court again voted 6 to 3 that "I identify as a vicious, racist, fascist-enabling, Republican-appointed, evil ghoul." Alito also filed a special concurrence to add "and proud of it."
