Please come to our Classic Car and Craft Fair this Sunday and support the work of Cuan Wildlife Rescue, rescuing and rehabilitating sick, injured and orphaned wildlife! Great day out and the weather doesn’t look too hot! #Shropshire #BritishWildlife
Yep, it’s a great event, run annually by the Shropshire Food Festivals lot. All local producers providing the food and drink and a good walk route. I had the non-alcoholic option (driving!) but Nigel enjoyed beers from Ludlow Hobsons Breweries and a cider from Yarrington Mill. See you next year?
Still recovering from completing the Ludlow Magnalonga yesterday … a great event and some delicious loval food and drink along the way but blimey, that was a hot 10 miler 🥵 And look at the landscape … I long to see our Shropshire Hills looking green again 🙏🏻 #Shropshire
One of my favourite photos of the summer for #FabulousWaders, today’s #BirdIfTheDay theme from @helenbennett.bsky.social … a group of little sanderlings from our holiday on St Mary’s 💚
SAVE OUR GREEN SPACE! The thought of losing this precious green and historic space in our local community is truly horrifying. Please come to the meeting if you can, we need to make our voices heard and take action #Shrewsbury #Shropshire
Two days to go until our annual Open Day and with temperatures set to remain high, we have made the decision to cancel the Dog Show element. The welfare of all animals is of utmost importance to us. Everything else is still the same, the fete and hospital tours are still happening! #Shropshire
Ten days to go until our annual Open Day on Saturday July 18th … the only day of the year when we open the hospital doors to the public and you can see behind the scenes. A great day out for all the family - please come and support your local wildlife rescue charity #Shropshire #Britishwildlife
Today’s harvest. Gooseberry harvest = arms ripped to shreds but hey-ho. Gooseberries also shout gooseberry crumble to me but I’m thinking it’s a tad warm out there for a crumble. But is it EVER too warm for a crumble? 🤔
A video rather than a photo … I hope that’s allowed @sheena-mck.bsky.social 🤞🏻 #AlphabetChallenge #WeekWforWater
Scrolling through my photos last night and I’ve obviously got a liking for following paths. I’m not sure my “path” has been anywhere near as clear cut as these 😂 Happy Wednesday!
Back up in the hills today, a walk with quite a lot of “up” from Poles Coppice across to Snailbeach and Habberley. Nice to have a coolish breeze along with the sunshine today! #Shropshire
We took this last week on the Isles of Scilly - sanderlings are lovely little birds to watch, so energetic! #WaderWeek
Thank you to @rdpphoto.bsky.social for taking these brilliant photos of an adult blue tit feeding its nestlings in the eaves of my next door neighbours’ house - Rhys’ photographic skills are wayyy better than mine! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Scilly Isles Day 3 - a day walking the coast on St Martins, dinner at the Seven Stones and the supper boat home 👌🏻 #ScillyIsles #IslesofScilly
#LinedUp is the theme for #BirdOfTheDay - I know this lot aren’t in the wild but they soon returned after I took this photo! Five tawny owlets that I came across on my first day at Cuan, many years ago 🦉
Scilly Isles Day 2 … Bryher, Bryher, where the hills are higher … 💚 #ScillyIsles #IslesofScilly
Scilly Isles Day 1. These islands really are our bolt hole of choice. Choppy crossings to and from Tresco today but such a glorious sunny and blustery day #ScillyIsles #IslesofScilly
Bluebells EVERYWHERE! A beautiful sunny walk up to Sallows Coppice from @sh-discoverycentre.bsky.social where there were swathes of bluebells in every direction! #Shropshire
Bluebells and Birdsong - a lovely woodland walk at Cound today with just a sprinkling of April showers thrown in #Shropshire
In case you and your little ones are looking for something to do tomorrow, there’s a lovely community event happening at the Prince of Wales in Belle Vue #Shrewsbury in the morning #Shropshire
Beautiful breezy walk from Church Stretton up to the Battlestones and onto the Hope Bowdler ridge with magnificent views of those lovely Shropshire Hills all around #Shropshire
Cuan Wildlife Rescue are hiring! Come and join our team as the Fundraising and Capital Campaign Lead - all details below. Please share as widely as possible - reposts very welcome 🙏🏻 #Shropshire #BritishWildlife #Wildlife
A favourite view on the island of Tresco - only three months now until we’re there once again #AlphabetChallenge #WeekFforFramed
The sun came out and so up the Lawley we went! That killer of a steep climb right at the end gets me every time but it’s always worth it #Shropshire
A fairly clear pattern in my Merlin results up in Grinshill this morning. The woods were full of birdsong … and the tits have it! Tree creepers, nuthatches and a mistle thrush were also about but this was the recording that made me laugh! #Shropshire
It’s time. Possibly one of my favourite hours of the year because everything else stops. Not sure I’m going to see much this year though ☹️#BigGardenBirdwatch #BGBW
